Whereas Judge James Rowe has been a perennial friend of the Totten family, has been closely involved with Brad Totten in his legal capacity as an arresting officer, and J. L. Clifton in his legal capacity as a Pocahontas County Assistant Prosecutor and former deputy sheriff; We the citizens of Pocahontas County do hereby request that he step down from both cases to avoid any appearance of impropriety regarding the administration of justice in the prosecution of Totten and Clifton.
