Name: Fiona Miller on Jul 14, 2008Comments: My children have benefitted in the following ways:- a) drama related- increased self confidence, skills in drama and singing, social opportunities b) awareness of mental health issues- meeting people with mental health difficulties, discussions at home about related issues. First Act has been highly successful in familiarising children and young people with the St Nicholas site. The awareness raising poster displays in the corridors have led to many conversations after workshops. By closing the theatre the Trust would loose an extremely effective link with the community.Flag

Name: Caitrin O'Sullivan on Jul 14, 2008Comments: First act has improved so many lives over the past 17 years, it is unfair to prevent other people from having the same wonderful experiences and benefits as the many young people who go there. The people wanting to close it down and replace it with offices are forgetting why they started it in the forst place. i have been a part of first act for so long, but it isn't anywhere near long enough!Flag
