801 Cllr Stephen PsallidasI would be very disappointed to see the theatre closed just to turn it into offices. This is a valuable cultural asset and the Trust must value it as such. Opportunity costs are fair enough, but some things should not be costed.

808 Peter LeggottThis organisation provides an invaluable service both to the community and to the Health Service. It is vital that all steps are taken to preserve the organisation in its current venue.
809 AnonymousFirst act has helped so many people in the past, present and hopefully the future. It has helped me gain confidence in acting but also last year i moved up to secondary school and first act helped me gain confidence and that ment i could show my true self instead of being nervous and shy at school and when acting.

812 Megan SandeyAll my friends go there and I too have performed there and getting rid of it would be disastrous and disrupt the lives of loads of people. The place is a part of me

815 mcconnellOur son has been involved with First Act at the Jubilee Theatre for the past year, and has loved the workshops and productions. His school, St Charles Primary also use the theatre for school productions. We are hugely in support of keeping this beautiful community theatre open.

818 Alan FrenchAs deputy head of Stocksfield Avenue Primary School I value the work of the First Act Theatre. The school supports the theatre on a regular basis taking groups of 120 pupils to watch productions. First Act provides so much to so many, a very successful and innovative theatre group producing very professional performances in the amazing setting of the Jubilee Theatre - a theatre that needs to be preserved as a working theatre.

823 Colin HaylockThe theatre is an important piece of social, architectural and cultural heritage of Gosforth and of our past Mental Health system. Sensitivity and imagination should be applied to ensure that it remains useable and accessible on a regular basis for its original use even if this alongside a range of other uses. .
824 Graham WhiteheadvVluable community resources should be retained, they contribute to the health and well being of the community.

833 AnonymousThis is a fantastic facility for budding thespians - its value must not be underestimated, There is also an amazing art nouveau tile facade around the stage which must be of some importance? Its really beautiful and of a grand scale not seen in usual modern interiors, It would be terrible if it were to end up on a buildrers skip!!
