First Act Theatre is an exciting concept in theatre for young people - as well as giving our members the opportunity to perform on stage, we are able to provide a professional standard of training in lighting, sound, stage management, marketing and show direction and production - in fact all the operational aspects of running a professional theatre. We have been the resident theatre company in the Jubilee Theatre since 1992. We usually produce four major productions a year, which might include a drama, a musical, a comedy or even Shakespeare. But each season we always stage a Showcase production, which gives every one of our members an opportunity to perform on stage.
