Open Letter to the Head of the Department of Art, Goldsmiths College Dear Kay Stables, Re: The departure of Juan Cruz from the BA (Hons) Art Practice programme As indicated by the \'Tutors Request Form\' for the coming academic year, Juan Cruz will be leaving Goldsmiths. In light of this extremely regrettable situation, we feel it is of paramount importance to express how valuable we, and the many other students who over the years have had the privilege to be taught by him, feel Juan Cruz is to the BA Art Practice course. Every student who has signed the enclosed petition is grateful for the huge impact he has had on their education and feels he is an irreplaceable asset to the course. We feel it is rare to encounter a tutor who has made such a great impact on so many students and just as he has been 100% committed to us, we are 100% committed to ensuring he remains at Goldsmiths. Losing this tutor would mean the loss of one of the most significant teachers we have ever encountered. We strongly urge you to reconsider the decision that has been made in light of the above, which we hope is some indication of the strength of our feeling about this matter.
