Name: Carolyn Joy Culver on Jan 22, 2007Comments: Dear Sir or Madam: When I think of all the couples I know and people I am friends with in relationships, Areli and Jose truly stand out in my mind. I am a close family friend who has witnessed over the past almost 6 years how their committment and affection for one another is quite personally. The only honest comparison I can think of is that 54 year marriage of my grandparents. The devotion and respect is evident in every encounter. They have been through so much together - and unfortunately - even apart they speak on the phone and connect as much as possible. I have been present at family holiday parties and birthday celebrations for years, visited when the entire family was visiting their new niece in the hospital at her birth. I have seen two individuals who can go from gazing into one another's eyes with out words to seeing a quiet rapport they have just between eachother when they think no one is watching. They LOVE with their whole hearts and are the most beautiful couple I know, since my grandfather has passed. I see my grandmother mourn my grandfather's passing and I see paralleled emotion from Areli as she waits for Jose to return. When they last saw eachother in person, in Mexico, I heard the love and faithfulness in their voices over the phone long distance. Jose is a fantastic addition to the Robles family in Chicagoland and I witnessed over the phone how Areli is a loved addition to Jose's family in Mexico. It is devastating to me that politics is keeping them apart, when so many couples who are together take their committements to one another so lightly and these two are suffering because they cannot be together. I can testify of Jose's hardworking nature and his reliability to his mother-in-law and extended family. We all love him like a brother and it makes me SICK to see Areli in this pain! Please hear all out pleas and approve his return into The United States of America where most all of us are decendents of immigrants and know that Jose and Areli HAVE paid their dues. Let him come "home" to his wife! After all isn't this devotion to one another the reason behind the Protection of Marriage Issues people fight so strongly for! It is a disgrace to keep them apart.Flag

Name: Justus Bailey Hall on Jan 23, 2007Comments: It's very important for this young lady to have her husband with her. Jose is a good man who deserves justice and being in Mexico away from his wife is not justice. His paperwork should be a priority as he is married to an American Citizen. Thank you.Flag
