Name: Zoe Handscomb on Jun 26, 2007Will you continue to buy hot drinks at these rates: 01Your thoughts please......: I would recommend they keep the cheaper coffee available in some or all of the restaurants and in ADDITION have a brand coffee that people are actually happy to pay for, i.e. Starbucks. They did this in the main restaurant at Chaseside but it flopped because it was half-hearted. If they introduce a proper Starbucks franchise this would popular...but they probably wouldn't make any money from it themselves so they most likely won't bother ; ) Who's heard of "Seattle's Best" anyway!Flag

With an inflation rate of 3-4% how can you justify that level of increase As a drinker of 3-4 coffees per day, this level will make me stop buying anything!!Flag

Name: Matt Burdock on Jun 26, 2007Will you continue to buy hot drinks at these rates: 01Your thoughts please......: To be honest, the quality and consistency of the hot drinks I've bought has varied and it's a bit poor. Half the time the hot chocolate is thin, watery and tasteless, the other times it's not mixed and all clogged in the bottom of the cup. No coffee house would serve it like that, yet we pay coffee house prices. Go figure.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 26, 2007Will you continue to buy hot drinks at these rates: 01Your thoughts please......: The use of the term "barista" to describe staff pressing a button is laughable. If the coffee were prepared with a proper coffee maker (as seen in Costa etc) then higher quality beans and prices can be justified. Coffee made with the current machines is hit and miss as to how it comes out!Flag

People just want an inexpensive product that does the job. Add a second, "premium" line for the connoisseurs by all means but dont disenfranchise the rest of us.Flag

Name: Tim Hughes on Jun 27, 2007Will you continue to buy hot drinks at these rates: 01Your thoughts please......: Whether I can afford to or not is not the issue, however the so called premium bean of coffee is a farce. My partner is italian and they have specific training courses for coffee making if this was the case here, you could almost justify the price increase if it wasn't for the fact the the coffee itself isn't as nice as the previous cheaper coffee offered by the canteen. Even so the so called training that is supposedly given to justify the price increase in itself cannot be true when the canteen are using the same machines as previous to make the coffee. All in all this coffee tastes cheap, has little flavour and double the price. I for one won't buying anymore coffee after enjoying at least 4 cups a day. It wasn't the best coffee in the world but the price was reasonable now they have neither. I pay a premium to drink coffee at Cafe Nero one of the few chains that know how to serve decent coffee. If it really is that good I for one wouldn't mind paying a premium but simply its not!!!Flag

Name: Colin Davies on Jul 11, 2007Will you continue to buy hot drinks at these rates: 01Your thoughts please......: Ask all staff if they would sooner have the old coffeee back at almost half the price and we all know what the answer would be -to increase the price on an ordinary coffee from 85p to 1.55 is scandalous-it tastes almost identical Totally out of order the way that the prices have been hiked by changing coffee and using that as an excuse THIS IS NOT STARBUCKSFlag
