The One Show's latest "expert" Jordan Shelley was shown on friday 16th September using outdated, non-scientific and potentially dangerous methods in an attempt to rehab a resource guarding terrier. The science of dog training has moved on from the dominance theory which has failed to stand up to any controlled studies. The broadcasting of such pseudo-science by the BBC is both irresponsible and could potentially harm more dogs than it cures. We the undersigned call for the BBC to stop promoting the unqualified Shelley and instead broadcast an experienced training using helpful and research proven methods.
