Proposal: Following the building of the new school hall, we propose that it would be fitting to name it in honour of John Hargreaves. As Deputy Head he fulfilled many roles and took part in all areas of school life. From philosophical questioning as a teacher, to passionate football coach to avid music lover, he encapsulated everything that is good about this school. He had time for anyone, seemed to know everyone and left a lasting mark on all of us lucky enough to have him impact on our lives. His unquenchable enthusiasm and dedicated service to the school deserves recognition and what better way to do it than adding his name to a building which will be so full of the activities and virtues that John cherished.
