Comments: great leader of the 49'ers even before the Bill Walsh era. Surrounded by gene washington, ken willard, and john david crow, Brodie always came to play...even when most of the press was following bart starr and lombardi.

Comments: John Brodie was the second of the line of great 49er quarterbacks but the first one that I saw play on TV and at the old Kezar stadium. He was sensational as everyone wanted to be 12!

Comments: Why John Brodie is not in Canton is a mystery(possibly no Super Bowl Championship). The man had it all, he could call his own plays, run, pass and the stamina to last 17 years in the NFL. He is arguably better than some QBs in there right now.
