| 551 | Anonymous | It is long overdue. Let's get John into the Hall.. |
| 552 | frank phillip morgan | john brodie was a great player for so many years----i thought he was already in the pro football hall of fame
he should be------- |
| 553 | Donna Flanders | |
| 554 | Richard Melbye | John was a great quarterback for Tech High in Oakland, CA. A great Quarterback for Stanford University. He culminated his great football playing career with a Hall of Fame career with the 49ers. He was instrumental in bringing about the merger of the AFL and NFL. He was a great leader of the 49ers through thick and thin. Truly, a classic QB and personally, a classic great human being. |
| 555 | Ben Valdez | The San Francisco 49ers have always had great Quarterbacks like Albert,Title,Montana,Young Mr. Brodie Should have his name in the Hall Of Fame with these great Quarterbacks that wore the Red and Gold. |
| 556 | willie maclean | |
| 557 | Craig M. Dawshield | While John Brodie was a good QB, he really isn't HOF worthy. Sorry, guys, but his stats alone won't get him inducted. He never won a championship. He had three 1,000 yrd seasons in 11 years, totaling a solid but not HOF 8189 yrds, which feel short of the magical 10,000 yard plateau. I have a feeling that the push to get Brodie into the HOF has more to do with his illness than his worthiness and while I do feel for him, I just don't believe that qualifies him to be inducted into the HOF. The stats just don't speak to that. Sorry. |
| 558 | Nick Garigliano | If John had played for the Giant, Cowboys, Redskins, Jets or Eagles he would have been in the Hall 20 years ago. |
| 559 | CLAY COSTELLO | I'VE KNOWN JOHN SINCE HIGH SCHOOL...
HE WAS A NATURAL THEN AND WAS A GREAT
PLAYER IN THE NFL...I'VE BEEN TO THE HALL IN CANTON, AND WOULD LOVE TO GO AGAIN WHEN JOHN IS INDUCTED. |
| 560 | Rodger Stollery | One of the toughest and most accurate passers of all time. |
| 561 | Keith Lopez | Hello, I have many great childhood memories of John Brodie and the 49ers. I remember listening and sometimes watching games with my dad. I am a native San Franciscan and longtime 49er fan.
I remember playing football with family and friends and pretending I was John Brodie, who I thought was the best.
I believe John should be voted into the Hall of Fame as his career was worthy. |
| 562 | Thomas Galasso | Without question John Brodie deserves enshrinement. He is a legend, statistically he matches with anyone during his era, and was amongst the elite players for his generation. |
| 563 | Ron Lommori | I grew up watching Brodie play at Kezar. Nobody could make a screen pass work like Brodie and watching him throw to Gene Washington was like magic.
He does belong in the Hall of Fame. |
| 564 | piolommori | I think that Brodie was one of the best quarterbacks that played. He ended up with the wrong couches. |
| 565 | Gary K. Pudwell | |
| 566 | Gina McConnachie | |
| 567 | David Murguia | |
| 568 | JASON ORDE | Brodie and 49er fan since 1970, bought his book Open Field, first book I actually read from front to back. John, thanks for the memories passes to Gene Washington, watching you throw screen passes to Larry Schrieber and Ken Willard take care # 12. |

| 572 | Linn Bartel | Get that amazing quarterback into the HOF along with Montana, Young, and Tittle |
| 573 | Alan Ross | |
| 574 | Gina Turner Conway | Linda Tisch Sivertsen and I grew up together on Coronado in Los Altos and know your children. You deserve this award! |
| 575 | Jeff Schooley | Go John Go! |
| 576 | ROBERTO GUAJARDO GARCIA | |
| 577 | Amy Clay | |
| 578 | brent culver | true niner if there ever was one. |
| 579 | aaron | |
| 580 | John Frager | |
| 581 | CARLOS RODRIGUEZ JR | 17 year tenure at Quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. Led the 49ers to their first NFL Playoff victory. Back to Back to Back NFC Western Division Titles. and yes! number 3 on the 49ers Passing yardage. John Brodie may have come short of gaining a chance to go to the super bowl 3 times against the dallas cowboys from 1970 -1972, but he became a figure and a prelude for what would come for the red and gold team that presides in san francisco. Let John Brodie in. One must look at what a quarterback has done for a team that has tried over and over, but we must recall there are many quarterbacks that have had great careers on bad to good teams. Dan Fouts and Don Merrideth are two that come to mind. We as not only 49ers fans but NFL fans must let John in. For Past generations, it will be a chance to relive the days of Brodie's cannon out in the air. Present and Future generations to never ever forget their 49ers past. Thank you |
| 582 | Harry L. Wise | I saw John play his last season and have pictures of him on the golf course. Great quarterback and man. |
| 583 | j romero | When people think 49ers, the first names i am sure that come to mind without question are Montana, Rice, Young, Clark ....etc. I grew up with the 49ers. The first game i ever watched was when i was 6 years old. I did not even know what football was, but my grandpa was a huge fan. I asked him what he was watching, he told me, "only the best team in the world, the 49ers". Since then i was hooked. I read the history, watch/read the games i was not even alive to see. Well, to make a long story short, when i think of the 49ers i think of John Brodie. Not only was he a great player, he would be a landmark of things to come, a stepping stone so to speak. I hope my name is one of many that help John Brodie get inducted into the NFL hall of fame. Good luck |
| 584 | Eron Grisham | John Brodie made the 49ers a better NFL team and contributed to the growth of the professesional football and what it is today. He deserves consideration for the Hall of Fame. His legacy of loyalty to the leage and to one and only franchise is exemplary and should be duly noted. |
| 585 | Brian Thomas | |
| 586 | Keith Schiller DC | i believe strongly that john brodie belongs in the hall of fame. |
| 587 | Rod Ruiz | John Brodie truly deserves to be among the elite passers enshrined in the HOF. I was there to welcome Art Monk, someone who was overlooked for too long and one of the all time greats. Too often championships and flash make the HOF while those just as deserving are overlooked. Please rectify and enshrine J. Brodie. |
| 588 | Peter George | I am in full agreement that John belongs in Canton!
www.hoftalk.com |
| 589 | Andrew Aiello | There's no doubt he should be enshrined. I could list so many players that are already in the HOF that can't come close to John Brodie! 49er 4 life |
| 590 | Jack Clymer | I was with John in the army at fort Lenoardwood,Mo. He use to put me on the top bunk. He needs to be in the Hall of Fame. Good Luck my Friend. Jack |
| 591 | Joseph Pinkston | |
| 592 | Mark Deere | Well, just read that John Brodie was not selected as one of the senior nominees for 2009. Bummer. Maybe next year. |
| 593 | Bobby Command | |
| 594 | Mike Traverse | John Brodie certainly belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He showed late in his career how well his teams would do when both the offense and defense of the 49ers played good. And what 49er fan from that era can forget that 1972 game when John threw the TD pass to Dick Witcher in the final minute to rally the 49ers into the playoffs. In fact, Brodie led wins in the final game 3 years in succession to clinch playoff berths. That is pressure leadership, worthy of HOF consideration. |
| 595 | Bobby Simmons | I think its Time!!!!!! |
| 596 | james jones |
| 597 | Annette Klobuchar Austin | I just want to say that I have been a Niner fan since I was five years old. John is one of the greatest if not the greatest the Niners has ever had. He deserves this honor more than any other player. Not only was he a great player he is a great human being. |
