| 451 | Michael Murphy | Tom Landry called him, with Joe Namath, the NFL's greatest "pure passer". He was the most exciting 49er for at least ten of his 17 years on the team, with unforgettable games in most seasons. He was an icon the San Francisco Bay Area |
| 452 | John Montante | |
| 453 | Robert Montgomery | Although I grew up in the Midwest (Toledo, OH), the 49ers were my team and John Brodie was my QB. I was fortunate to see him play in Detroit and my love for the 49ers has continued to this day. I even named my golden retriever "Brodie". I have read the stories of John's medical problems and the encouraging news from his treatments. I wish you well in your campaign and hope Mr. Brodie is well.

| 456 | Anonymous | John Brodie belongs in the Hall of Fame. I have been lucky enough to follow his career, starting with his Stanford years then on with the 49er's, and he truly exemplified everything that makes his induction into the Hall legitimate. |

| 458 | Anonymous | We'e known John Brodie since he was a freshman at Oakland Technical High School and remember that long pass he thrrew to win the game against Pittsburgh High - we've watched his career over the years and always been proud of the fine athlete and and good man he became. He deserves a place in the Hall of Fame. |

| 465 | Pate Thomson MD | John Brodie played briliantly for the 49ers for 17 years
Great athlete, great football player.
suffered major stroke.
Is deserving of this recognition, which seems long overdue |
| 466 | Milton L. Kelly | |
| 467 | Kearry O'Brien | John Brodie, based on his excellent NFL career, is very deserving of induction into the NFL HOF. |
| 468 | Mike Kachel | Absolutely. I must say I was surprised to find out John Brodie was not already in -- I think many people overlook him because of that assumption. Similarly, it's time for the voters to consider the 49ers won four (4) Super Bowls in a 9-year stretch, yet only have two (2) players (Montana and Lott) in the Hall -- three once Rice is inducted. (I would argue Young was responsible for the 5th ring several years after the Walsh era ended.) Unless the Hall voters give credit to Craig, Clark, Cross and others from those teams, maybe it's time to create a second bust for Bill Walsh because how else do you explain all those rings? They were won on the field, weren't they? |
| 469 | Anonymous | One of the top 4 or 5 QB's for 12 seasons:
(59-71).
The NY Giants tried to replay their stealing of YA Title in'61 with a trade offer for JB in '66, but Niners wisely turned them down.
He never had a great defence until '70. |

| 471 | H. William Smith | It's about time, John Brodie should have been in the hall of fame 5 years after he retired. |
| 472 | Anonymous | John Brodie should already be in the HALL but since he is not now is the time to Induct Him to the HALL OF FAME! He is very deserving of this honor his play speaks for it self. |
| 473 | Bob Brady | John is one of the game's better passing quarterbacks whose achievements and play has gone unrecognized for far too long. |
| 474 | Scott W. | When a good friend tells me of the way this person is, was or. I will sign for JB |

| 487 | raymond galliani | |
| 488 | Pierre Martin | John Brodie is one of the reasons I am a longtime football fan. His legendary hookups with Gene Washington were something to behold. I think the hall of fame deserves to have him enshrined, |

| 491 | Carol Worthington | John was a great player and deserves this honor. |
| 492 | helen jensen danhakl | I was stunned to just learned that John Brodie wasn't in the Hall of Fame years ago. His 16 year amazing performance for the 49ers, as well as his overall stats surely warrants that. Not to speak of the fact that his genuine niceness, devotion to family, and genuine quality of character serves as a valuable role model - so much needed in this era. Please, elect him to the Hall of Fame. Sincerely, Helen Danhakl |

| 496 | Anonymous | John Brodie's induction is long overdue. Let's make 2008 the year we see his name in the Hall of Fame, |
| 497 | Salvatore Pecoraro | John Brodie did for football what Curtis Flood did for baseball, gave players the right to make a real living in sports as athletes. John was great in his day and truly loyal to the 49ers. His poise as quarterback was an inspiration to future players. It is time he is give this recognition in the Hall of Fame. |
| 498 | Anonymous | I grew up as a Niner fan. Started following them in the early 1950's. Joe Montana, Steve Young, John Brodie and YA Tittle were all top QB's. Brodie belongs in the Hall with the others. He played in the 12 and 14 game venue era. Had he played 16 games a year he would have been among the tops in the game. As it was he was 3rd all time by the time he retired. |
| 499 | Norman Jung | In his era, John Brodie was one of the top five quarterbacks who played the game. He was as good as Y.A. Tittle who is in the Hall of Fame. |
| 500 | Karl W Billerts | John Brodie was the master of the 2 minute drill who foreshadowed the West Coast Offense. Bill Walsh himself credited John as having provided him wth the fundamental insights that Walsh later developed formally into the West Coast Offense. And Brodie's on field generalship was inspiring. He took chances because he had to. And delivered thrilling performances time and time again. What a great QB!! |
