Senator Cornyn,

We, the undersigned—your constituents, strongly urge you to join with others and lead the charge to repeal Obamacare. You readily assert that this law was an egregious overstep of federal authority and unconstitutional; however, you concomitantly indicate that you will not push for a full repeal of this monstrosity of a law. You state that President Obama wouldn’t sign it. You state that it wouldn’t be good for republicans in 2016. You list all kinds of grandiose reasons why you do not support efforts for a full repeal anymore.

Be advised: you were not re-elected to be a strategist for the national Republican Party. You were not re-elected to do what is politically expeditious. You were not re-elected to wine and dine with other Washington insiders and gain/maintain clout.

You have been re-elected for one purpose—to represent your constituents in the great state of Texas. The entire nation—Texans included—has suffered under the Obama administration and the implementation of its foolhardy policies. Families have been in tumult, jobs lost, and quality of life seriously diminished. The only acceptable stance on Obamacare is immediate, full repeal.

In the primary elections, you ran as a conservative. Many believed you. You, like many others across the nation, have benefited greatly by being the republican candidate on the ballot in an economically depressed and demoralized nation.

We are calling on you to lead as the conservative you professed to be. Demand a full repeal of Obamacare. Make the constitution—not political expediency, feasibility, or “unity”—your number one priority. Partner with others who do the same. Make Texas proud. Remember, you represent TEXAS in a constitutional republic. Beltway strategies should always take a back seat to your representation of us within the confines of the constitution.
