JIM HAS BEEN RETURNED TO THE BOARD!!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SIGNED THIS PETITION. THIS PUBLIC DISPLAY IS NECESSARY WHEN PEOPLE FORGET WHAT THE PURPOSE OF A VOLUNTEEER ORGANIZATION IS. YOUR COURAGE WAS AMAZING AND I KNOW IT MADE A DIFFERENCE!
In an unbelievable turn of events, The Whitby Minor Baseball Association Board in it's infamous wisdom has removed JIM TAYLOR from is Board of Directors. Jim has been a part of WMBA for 40 years as a player, coach umpire and executive member. He lives and breathes Baseball and the WMBA. As many of you are well aware Jim does simply everything he can for the WMBA. Last year alone he ran two tournaments, was a driving force on the sponsor committee, helped run the House League All-Star day, Helped run Xtra Innings program, Ran the Rally Cap Program, was the Umpire in Chief and also umpired. He was the First Vice President for the WMBA and helped out with a number of different teams in various ways. He also was a coach for the Senior OSBA Chiefs & Durham College. And this frankly was a slower year for Jim as he is dealing with some Personal Problems at home as well. For those that do not know, over the last month or so a smear campaign has been run against Jim. Allegations of money issues and conflict of interest have been slung at him. This was an obvious and direct attack at the Successor to the Presidency of the WMBA, and it came from 8 anonymous people. It was so calculated that the Current President even attempted to change the Length of time a President could serve just so He could continue his presidency rather than allowing the succession plan to take place. It is obvious that the 8 people who voted against Jim did not have the good of the WMBA in mind, nor the good of the hundreds of children who play baseball in the WMBA. Because JIM TAYLOR made every member of the WMBA's baseball experience better day in and day out. Because of this we are petitioning to have Jim Taylor Reinstated immediately to the Board of Directors for the Whitby Minor Baseball Association.
Please NOTE: This is a forum to support JIM TAYLOR, not cast negative comments on other Board members. Please keep comments positive about the need for Jim and All Volunteers to be involved. Thank you!
