   Comments: It is a shame that the NFL does not recognize a player for holding a record for most consecutive games played for so many years. Jim Marshall played a position where he was in physical danger on every play. To top it all off, he was known as the "Iron Man" on a defensive line known as the "Purple People Eaters". Sure, he went the wrong way once. That is not even a speck off the 282 consecutive games he played. It is a downright shame that this man is not in the Hall of Fame!
