After his long sentence and time incarcerated, I feel Jim gordon has paid his debt to society.  After all, look at the statistics, he has an immediate job doing something he loves, and he has certainly reformed his life. Let's give this talented man a chance to live out the remainder of his life at large.  I feel he is harmless to society.
