Comments: this man needed care before the crime and NO ONE helped him..........I believe he could function normally with medication and monitoring. After all the years he has spent behind bars , PLEASE consider the man . I knew him personally , and he was always a gentle , kind , loving man.The crime was committed by something that was NOT James Gordon but an untreated illness.

Comments: To the California Parole Board: As a drummer and practicing California lawyer, please accept this statement in support of the petition for release of Mr. Jim Gordon from incarceration. My knowledge of the case is not more than what has been published in the media, and from what I have heard in the music circles over the years, but it would appear that more than sufficient time has passed to permit Mr. Gordon to be released from prison- on some reasonable and appropriate terms and conditions. While due deference, and objective, consideration of Mr. Gordon's medical evaluation (of which I am without information) should be considered, there appears to be overwhelming support. and plenty of prospective work, for Mr. Gordon to busy himself and allow him to return to contributing his most gifted talents to the music industry and the listening public. Had Mr. Gordon been properly diagnosed the tragedy of his own personal loss of his mother, which was most evidently Not the result of a "volitional act," more than likely would not have occurred, particularly with the medial progress of treatment of similar medical illnesses. Alternatively, to continue to punish and imprison Mr. Gordon at this point does to appear to further any state interest, purpose and would deprive society of Mr. Gordon's continued works. I do not know Mr. Gordon personally, and am not biased in either way, other than I have been a fan and student of Mr. Gordon's drumming and great musical performances Mr. Gordon's prospective release would not appear to be prejudicial to any relatives of any victims who would otherwise might have persuasive reasons for denial of parole to Mr. Gordon. Under the facts and circumstances. Including two previous denials of parole, the Board, in considering the counter-balancing concerns and interests, should consider release of Mr. Gordon upon reasonable terms, conditions and monitoring. Respectfully submitted, Chalres Connolly, Esq. Laguna Hills, California

Comments: I have been playing drums since 1967 and you, Mr. Gordon have influenced my drumming . I'm still playing drums professionaly and I still can't spell, but anyway I hope you get this message because your sense of time is so "right" for all of the people that you recorded with which makes YOU the reason why people like their stuff. I would like to meet you sometime and talk drums and groove and mainly how you said so much with less notes!.

Comments: I consider Mr. Gordon's debt to society to have been paid. With the provision that his physicians have determined that his condition has been successfully treated and that he represents no threat to himself or others, I petition the State of California to release Mr. Gordon from incarceration and grant him a conditional parole to live the the remainder of his life in freedom and with dignity.
