All driver's should be provided parking accommodations by the receiver. How many more have to be killed, injured and/or maimed before something is done? My Dad was just recently shot after being turned away from parking at his receivers property!
As a female former long haul trucker, this is a priority issue. Truckers should not live in fear of being assaulted if they run out of hours and need to find parking - it should be available in every community.
This law needs passed! Truckers need protection while delivering goods to our stores and the manufacturers.
Been driving a truck since 1991 and would love to see this law passed. God Bless Jason's family.
Although I'm currently in Canada, I have my U.S. citizenship and my CDL. Thank you and I hope this gets more attention.
Need to pass Carrie fire arms in all states
My son is a truck driver and has been jumped numerous times at several truckstops. He needs to be able to carry his weapon to protect himself. All truckers should have the right to carry weapons for self protection, this world is getting worse day by day. Our truckers keep our lives running and they should have the right to protect their own lives.

I too have had problems finding a safe haven in many states, and it seems no one care that these trucks have to sleep along side the road.
