Name: Anonymous on Jul 7, 2009Name (Required): Jennifer BullockComments: I would ask the the Dc government please consider an alternative site for the project as it appears that our surrounding neighborhood is becoming the dumping ground for all projects involving the homeless, mentally ill, and addicted residents of the city. Please reconsider!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 8, 2009Name (Required): Thomas UsselmanComments: I concur, we do not need additional troubled youth in our neighborhood. We are already suffering from the effects of SOME and other social programs. And let me be clear they have a huge negative effect on my quality of life.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 21, 2009Name (Required): Audrey NuttComments: This neighborhood is inundated with social services and low income housing. We need more market housing and retail to support a vibrant, balanced neighborhood. And, attracting people in need of social services within close proximity of a school is potentially dangerous to children.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 17, 2009Name (Required): Patricia RabainComments: I do not want the LAYC Program to be housed in this community, LeDroit park. It is more important that we have a program that directly addresses the immediate needs of this community, i.e., strong arts program for the children and neighbors who currently exist here.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 19, 2009Name (Required): Commssioner Denise WrightComments: Placement of non-profits or other social service agencies in various neighborhoods need to be considered in the context of the Master Plan for the District. Communities that have historically experienced a negative growth rate and have a dearth of retail and other amenities, should not be considered as ideal places in which to place a number of social agencies. It advertently strains the available resources in the area and does not bolster the type of the development that is desirable for other land/building use.Flag
