| 2 | Sue Shields | I was extremely offended when Hillary grandstanded that issue.. I watched the speech Barrack gave on MLK Day and I was moved when he made mention of recognizing that anti-semtic actions have to be stopped. I have never seen a politician that even dares to mention Jews period. I thought it was remarkable |

| 14 | Ursel | I am glad to see an attempt being made by the Jewish-American community to bridge the divide between the Jewish and African-American community. Barack did denounce and reject the support of Minister Farrakan. Barack represents unity between all people, regions, religions, and cultures. I thank you for recognizing and accepting that very significant fact regarding Barack Obama. |

| 21 | Dayna Oscherwitz | Anyone familiar with Barack Obama knows he is not antisemitic, racist, or anything of the kind. He believes in the dignity and respect of all people, regardless of race, gender or religion. I am a proud Obama supporter, and find this effort to label him an anti-semite highly objectionable. People should react by ignoring such charges, and reading and listening to what Obama himself has to say on issues. |

| 29 | Anonymous | It is time for Jews and African Americans ... and all Americans ... to stand together and denounce all types of prejudice. In addition, we need to be strong proponents of peace in Israel & Palestine and rights for all people- Jews and Palestinians should live side-by-side as friends, coworkers, and citizens. |

I'm supporting Barack Obama because I believe he is the best person to take on the Presidency at this time in our country's history. But both he and Hillary Clinton are excellent candidates who support Israel's right to exist and will work to bring peace to the Middle East. Choose between them on the basis of their policies and philosophies, not on the basis of scare tactics disseminated by those who have their own twisted agendas. We can do better than that. |

I have been so troubled by the growing anti-semitism from African and Caribbean-Americans since 1995 when a then close friend started quoting Farakkhan whose virulent anti-semitism has fed the rift that Senator Obama spoke about during the February 26 Ohio debate.
What Senator Obama said, quoted below from the transcript, moved me to tears of appreciation for his courage and understanding:
SENATOR OBAMA: "And the reason that I have such strong support is because they know that not only would I not tolerate anti-Semitism in any form, but also because of the fact that what I want to do is rebuild what I consider to be a historic relationship between the African-American community and the Jewish community.
You know, I would not be sitting here were it not for a whole host of Jewish Americans, who supported the civil rights movement and helped to ensure that justice was served in the South. And that coalition has frayed over time around a whole host of issues, and part of my task in this process is making sure that those lines of communication and understanding are reopened." |
