Comments: Jerry Lee Jones deserves no parole. He took a young girls life, for what He should have to pay the price for his actions. Life in prison is not a stiff enough penalty for him. He should have been given the death penalty. He definately should not be paroled.

Comments: there are crimes that society can forgive and accept restitution, but when a fellow human being is subjected to such cruel and unimaginable horror then there should be no leniency on the individuals that participated in this heinous crime

Comments: This individual, as well as COUNTLESS others should have NEVER served a single day in prison, but rather at the bottom of a hefty bag with a toe tag!!! (A.k.a "Cost Cutter Casket"). It absolutely curdles my blood to know that my hard earned tax dollars have gone to house and feed this "THUG" and thousands of others just like him. I am so sick of hearing about the so-called rights of murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc. When one has committed these types of crimes he or she has forfeited their "rights". 15 minutes after the 'guilty' verdict was read Mr. Jones should have been in conference with JESUS!!! If we as Americans ever want to see the "Wheels of Justice" roll again then we MUST place GOD back on HIS Throne and these type of thugs in the ground!

Comments: the problem with our "system" is that a life sentence is NOT a life sentence or we would not need to sign this petition. That jury gave their time and decided this man should spend the rest of his life behind bars. I vote to end all parole hearings. May God bless this family. Such a horrific, senseless loss of their child.

Comments: He needs to spend the rest of his worthless life in prison. If Quenette had lived for the last 32 years, she would have spent the time being a wife, mother, and positive influence on children. A piece of garbage like Jones should not be allowed to be around decent people.

Comments: Please do not parole Jerry Lee Jones. He forfeited his freedon the day he brought the promising life of Quenette Shehane, a woman who had everything to live for and an undeniably bright future, to a brutal end. He does not deserve to ever see the light of day again.

Comments: It would be nice to see his overturned conviction overturned, so as to put him back in the arms of "Yellow Mama". It is my understanding from other articles (including one from a former corrections officer) that he shows no remorse, and is trying to sue the state dept. of corrections, on the grounds that he is being treated like a sexual offender, (poor victim). Although, I believe that it was Quenette who was actually the victim in this case. He has had almost 34 years to repent and not have to face eternal damnation. Thankfully Quenette will spend eternity in heaven. But had she not been saved, how much time did they give her? These people are like so many in this world who think that other people are just extras in a movie about "Their Life".

Comments: I was 20 years old at that time and I worked for the City of Birmingham, in a division of the police department at the time of the murder. To say that it shook everyone to the core is an understatement. I have to say, I have never forgotten Quenette's name, nor the men who took her precious life. It took an innocence from us all and I vehemently oppose any parole for any of these animals who should have been made to suffer the same torture Quenette endured.
