Name: Richard S. Fine on Jan 7, 2009Comments: this punishment, if the reports surrounding it are true, is absurd. The reports that I have heard, and I have no information to validate or invalidate it, says that JC requested information from the Players Association, prior to using it was whether that particular supplement was legal or banned. If he in fact relied on the advice of MLBPA or MLB in this matter, I question whether there should even be a suspension. In any case, a susoension for almost one third of the season seems much too severe. I would feel that way even if JC was not a Phillies player or if I were not a Phillies fan. I do not know if JC had any priior violations of "substance abuse" policy, but if he did not, how can MLB possibly justify such a punishmentFlag

Name: Kevin on Jan 7, 2009Comments: MLB is crazy in this situation. JC went to the players association and the Phillies trainer to see if the supplement was legal, and it was. Until MLB changed the rule after he already went throughout the process to see if the supplement was legal. Guilty of neglegance HELL NO the MLB IS GUILTY OF NEGLIGENCE. YOU SCREWED OVER JC.Flag

Name: Olga Melendez on Jan 7, 2009Comments: J.C. Romero is being targeted for his ethnicity. It is unfair as he was very honest. The medication in questions is an "over-the-counter" supplement which leads me to wonder what is in the multi-vitamins that we buy "over-the-counter" at GNC and other stores. Again, Romero is not in the same group as Canseco, Bonds, etal.Flag
