As a result of Superstorm Sandy, many homeowners in Brick lost their power for 19 days in some cases and even longer in others. In a response to my inquiry about a refund for the time we did not receive service, I was directed by JCP&L customer service representative "David" to seek reparations though insurance for any and all losses. They gave no concession, only futile rhetoric. I suggest we form a petition to Governor Christie to intercede on our behalf. We should be entitled to a refund for services not rendered, damages to our properties due to loss of power, loss of perishables, cost of rental or purchase of a generator for this crisis and the fuel for running these generator's for upwards of twenty days.
