| 677 | Rodrigo Jimenez | I just want the Custodio family to know that we, as a community and as humans, are not going to sit idly by and let police officers abuse their power and take advantage of innocent civilians. Cops are supposed to be around to help people, not beat them and treat them like animals. You're not alone Custodio's! |

| 679 | Kathy Doan | The sadistic treatment that this Filipino-American family had to endure is so heartbreaking. I never thought anything like this would occur in San Jose.
I am so furious with anger at the SJPD and sympathetic for the Custodio family. Although I am only a junior at high school, I am acutely aware on the issue of racial profiling.
This is 2008, progress must occur NOW. |

| 688 | Kristine Lee Woldegiorgis | A charge against the Custodios IS a charge against a victim...if i remember correctly thats not what our justice system was created for! How can one charge a person beaten & abused in numerous amounts of ways, for simply wanting to know their rights and probable cause; that by law (the miranda law) is required to be recited in any given case/situation. If it's a crime to know ones rights; and if its a crime to be a concerned mother; and if its a crime to be educated and innocent, but acceptable to detain the innoccent;acceptable to beat an unarmed mother and son; and after all this trauma caused...acceptable to have the NERVE to press charges, then the least i can say is that our country has one of the most DISGRACEFUL and UNJUST justice systems to ever exist and shall remain a fact if charges persist. |

The Custodio family did not deserve such brutality. DROP THE CHARGES ON THE CUSTODIO FAMILY. The ones who should get punished are the 10 offending police officers. |

| 696 | daniel contreras | my friend was also beat by San Jose PD last month. He is locked up and is asking me to help him get justice. any advise? |
| 697 | James Lawson | I think people should read the article "PETIT APARTHEID AND THE "TB" SYNDROME: POLICE RACIAL PROFILING OF CHICANA/O YOUTHS IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA" that can be found online. The article shows how the San Jose Police racially profile Chicana/o and Asian American youths in San Jose, violate their rights, and mistreat them. The article describes how police have used violence against the people of San Jose for decades. |
