Name: Julie Scott-Christian on Jan 6, 2013Comments: I'm going to go for "Dustin's" law on a federal level. My son was seen by police at my home the day before he died after his school called child protective services on his father. My mom was home and she said the officers said they were questioning my son saying he didn't look like himself. I believe they knew he was under the influence. He went to bed early at 4 p.m. and died in his sleep. I want mandatory testing on the spot of persons suspected of being under the infuence. If the test positive for an opiate they need to be taken to a hospital for observation not to jail or juvenile hall. My son was three weeks shy of turning 18 years old. His name is Dustin Scott Christian March 28, 1994 - March 7, 2012. Good luck. We need to change the system. Incarceration is not the answer. The wrong people are getting arrested.Flag

My nephew died due to a overdose caused by a greedy doctor who prescribed him enough pills to kill a elephant. It is past the time to do something and put a stop to these unecsarry deathsFlag

Name: Tiffany on Feb 13, 2013Comments: With all these other ridiculous laws we have now, why not pass one that is actually going to HELP save lives? I'm sorry to hear of the reason that has caused this law to bring awareness but I'm glad someone is taking something so negative and bringing something so positive out of it. I think this law will most definitely help save AT LEAST one life. One life lost is one too many. I hope it gets passed!Flag
