This is a petition to recognize Bowling as a high school varsity level sport. School sports teach discipline, teamwork, and dedication. Bowling offers these same benefits, but to students that have been overlooked or are not currently participating in sports. Bowling promotes higher grades, lower dropout rates, a safe, clean, supervised, alcohol and tobacco-free environment. It also has no age, size, strength, or gender limitations. It is one of the few sports that families can participate in together. With your help we can make this happen. Right now there are 19 States that recognize bowling as a Varsity level sport, and maybe someday Massachusetts can join the ranks.
