Name: James Damiano on Jun 20, 2009Comments: I lived with Jaco for a while on Jones street in the village A truly great Humanitarian. Jaco would walk around the Village for weeks on end and feed homeless people. He would get up in the morning put on his clothes and search for homeless people to feed. True story. If Paul Butterfield was alive he could tell you the same. He came to stay with us for a while.Flag

I think, I KNOW Jaco Pastorius should be one of those people who should represent America all over the World on one of the United States Postal Services Stamps.Flag

Name: Jeff Hill on Dec 30, 2009Comments: Jaco Pastorius is responsible for bringing an entire generation around to the artistry of fusion and jazz music. Without his input, one of the most popular music instruments ever would not enjoy the popularity it does today. Jaco made it cool to be an electric bassplayer in a Jazz band.Flag
