Comments: Web classes were intended for students with busy lives and who wanted the convenience of taking classes from home. It is an inconvenience now to drive to campus to take a final exam, but to make students drive for any kind of exam such as a 10 minute quiz is ridiculous. Please do not punish the students who do not cheat. Thank you.

Comments: This kind of defeats the purpose of taking courses online if you have to go in to the campus to take tests and quizzes. If the faculty is worried about cheating on tests, maybe there is a better way to evaluate the material learned in dealing with projects or huge assignments that will evaluate the students ability to apply material learned. I think this is more practical anyway for every day situations. This is a huge disappointment if this is not to change. Part of the reason I was able to take these courses finally is to be able to take them online with my busy schedule and how much I travel out of town for work.

Comments: Having to take quizes and/or tests on campus defeats the purpose of taking the class online. It would also make it very difficult for people who are already planning on taking online courses to graduate.

Comments: As a single-mother, the convenience of on-line classes, including quizzes and tests, has been incredibly helpful. This aspect and option of the TCEM classes has always been one of my favorite parts of being able to get this degree.

Comments: I believe that many students take online courses because of the convenince of them. When you have a family and a full time job, it is great to be able to watch lectures at 10 or 11 at night. Students take online classes because they are much more flexible and allow for a career and continuing education. Please keep online tests and quizes online! I fear that this change may hinder some students ability to complete the program because they are unable to take off of work to go and take tests and quizes, especially when you take several credit hours.

Comments: Why offer a class on line, if you are not going to offer the whole thing on line, including tests. I find it convient this way to take tests, with my busy schedule, this would mean I would have to arrange it with someone else who schedule doesn't fit with mine. This way I can take it when I have the time in the timeframe permitted and everyone is happy.

Comments: This defeats the purpose and convenience of online classes. Part of the reason I attend IUPUI is because of the online course offerings. I think the TCEM department is making a mistake. Plus, is the TCEM department going to provide me with a parking pass to park on campus while I take my tests This stinks! I can

Comments: It does not make sense to have to go to campus to take quizzes if it is an online class. That sounds ignorant. It is online, therefore the students should have enough responsibility to take the quiz or test themselves online.

Comments: I'm married and have three children. I also have a full time sales job which requires me to travel from time to time. I live almost an hour away from campus and don't have time to drive to campus to take tests and quizzes. The whole reason I chose my major (TCEM) was the flexability of the online classes. If this the policy, I will be forced to resign myself from the program and have to start from scratch at another school. I would not like to do that.

Comments: I do not feel that those who have academic integrity should not be penalized for those who do not. It would have be near impossible for me to have progressed in my degree program without the flexibility of the online evironment. I strongly oppose the requirement to take exams on campus.

Comments: I think it is so stupid and my question is why now and did they not think of this when online classes first started People take online classes so they can do it on their time and to have us come all the way to campus just to take a test or quiz is ridiculous. They might as well not have online classes at all. People have lives outside of school so they can work and have personal lives and if we are required to take time out just to take tests is just not fair.

Comments: I work a full time job and also a part time job as well as go to school. I don't have the time to go downtown every time there is a test or quiz. I understand why they would want to do something like that but the professors have the ability to set the amount of time for the test. Just make shorter test times and I am sure it will all work out in the end. If having to go downtown to take every test or quiz is the case then I am sure that there will be less quizes or tests because some professors may understand and have less quizes and tests. There for students will miss out on material that they might need in the future for a job or other course material. Please keep online classes online and not at the school.
