Name: Sharon Freedman on Feb 2, 2008Comments: This tragic situation could happen to any of us. As Canadians there is s set of judicial pronciples that we aspire to and they are one is innocent until proven guilty, there must be due and juste process of law, fairness and the punishment must be reasonable. All of the above have been major violations in the Itzhayek case. I am therefore strongly urging that every effort is made to bring him home. Sharon Freedman, Social workerFlag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 3, 2008Comments: I saw for the first time this horrible and incomprehensible human error and the non-benevolance of the Indian bureaucracy. I pray that Mr. Itzhayek will be freed for this travesty of injustice. I understand there are rules and regulations with each country and they apply to everyone, foreigners included. However, it was an error, not a crime. This should have been taken into consideration. I pray that the Indian Government and that our Canadian Government will be able to have Mr. Itzhayek released and returned to Canada post-haste. Justice must be served. SL Lalonde 080203Flag

Name: Jacques Dahan on Feb 3, 2008Comments: It is up holing to hear that no positive actions were taken to have Mr Itzhayek released from an injustly enprisonment in India when the Canadian government is trying without success to deporte an Indian citizen from Canada for a real valid reason Quote"Admitting there is a valid deportation order for Singh, Suleman said, "We appreciate that there is a valid removal order but there's also a strong community will supporting Laibar Singh to stay in Canada on humanitarian grounds." If the law can be flexible for some, why not for others I certainly hope the government will take immediate action to free Mr Itzhayek from prison. Then I will again BE PROUD TO BE A CANADIANFlag
