Where as the modern game of ice hockey was created and developed in Canada and whereas Canadians are passionate supporters of all levels of organized hockey (from house league to professional)and whereas the current NHL strategy of supporting failing and bankrupt teams in non-traditional hockey markets has been a financial and reputational disaster for the league and its fans, we petition the NHL Board of Governors to relocate failed and bankrupt NHL teams to the following hockey crazed Canadian markets: Southern Ontario, Quebec City, and Winnipeg.
