Comments: Travellers are entitled to equality in Irish society; this must be recognised within the legal framework in order to protect their rights while embracing their cultural identity.

Comments: Travellers have been part of Irish society for centuries. They have their own distinct culture and history. Their ethnic status is still not recognised by the Irish Government. In Northern Ireland and Scotland, Travellers are recognised as an ethnic group. The Irish Government need to show respect for Travellers culture and recognise them as distinct minority ethnic group.

Comments: Society and the State has recognised Unionism. Society and the State has recognised (to a great extent) Gay people. It is time our fellow Traveller citizens were given proper recognition too. Traveller is spelt with a capital T.
