This petition aims to highlight the issues surrounding parking at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown. The issues facing both students and staff included; * the cost of permits, including the recent increase. *the lack of parking spaces for permit holders. * charge for the shuttle bus from the shopping centre to the college. As we all know, times are hard for everyone and as students we know all to well the financial sacrifices that must be made in order for us to further our education. College Fees have and will increase. Petrol and public transport prices are on the increase. This is not a Pro-Car petition, cycling, walking and public transport are great for those in a position to make use of them. However it is a clear to see that the parking is major over priced and clearly does not provide spaces for those who have bought permits. This issue is also giving the students of ITB a bad reputation amongst the local community as students are finding themselves with no other option than to park in the nearby housing estates. PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO HIGHLIGHT THIS ISSUE AND BRING IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE COLLEGE AUTHORITIES. Many thanks, ITB Student.
