Tim Taylor | This is extremely important. Every signature is a victory for what's right and what's best for BYU.

| 4 | Joshua A. Daniels | Dick Cheney is a sitting Vice President of the United States. We should respect his office and be honored and proud he is speaking here at BYU. Furthermore, he is an outstanding VP, he is very competent and has largely been smeared because he refuses to play PR wars with the liberal media and his political distractors, instead he spends his time helping run the country. History will exonerate him, you will see. He is a quiet and private man and it will take the national archives for all of you to see how good of a VP he really was!
Come to the Quad on Wednesday sporting your cougar blue, show your school spirit and wear all blue on Wednesday (including face painting, wigs, etc.) Make sure you come to the quad with your friends on Wed. at 11-1 in your blue to show your support for BYU!! |

Jon Scott | What an honor to have the Vice President of the United States come to BYU! He is clearly an individual that has been successful in his life and desires to encourage the graduating class of 2007. All of these protestors only offer demands with no solutions and criticism born of hindsight.

Bradford Tuckfield | Let's rise above partisan bickering and the bizarre tendency of some thoughtful BYU students to be embarrassed by BYU's predominantly conservative reputation and leadership. It is obviously an honor to have a well-meaning and able diplomat and good man such as Cheney attend our ceremonies.

Colby D Green | I support all decisions made by the BYU Board of Trustees. It is truly an honor to have the Vice President of the United States come to BYU.
Michael Johnson | I fully agree that inviting the Vice President Cheney to speak is not necessarily an endorsement of his political views. I feel honored that he is coming, and hope that others don't spoil what should be a special time for those who are graduating.

April S. Little | Bravo. We stand for democracy and equality and support the invitation of prominent political leaders as speakers at this University and others where we believe in the ability and right of students to form their own opinions as to the issues of the day.
Gavin Giraud | Anytime BYU can connect with the leaders of this country, we should definitely take the opportunity.
Seth Bagley |
Seth Dilworth | As a BYU alum, I was pleased to see that such a high ranking official as the Vice President of the United States would speak at a graduation ceremony. I am disappointed that I could not have such a treat at my commencement. Additionally, those protesting Mr. Cheney's visit disgrace the institution. It shows disrespect to the institution and to the country. I did not protest when liberal journalist Helen Thomas spoke at a forum and declared President Bush the worst president we've ever had. I support BYU's decision to invite the vice president, and I look forward to hearing what he has to say regarding education and moving on in life.
Julie Ford | Those who are opposed to Dick Cheney coming and are protesting him are very immature, unprofessional, and non-supportive of our Board of Trustees (which happens to be headed by President Gordon B. Hinckley). I hope they can sleep well at night.
Leila Watts | No matter what anyone thinks of Dick Cheney, he is still the Vice President of the United States and as such deserves some respect. I support the decision of BYU and the First Presidency in inviting him here.
