The petition

From Islington's website

"Islington has more than 127 parks, open spaces and playgrounds. Whether you want to go for a leisurely stroll, kick a football about, have fun with the kids or just watch the world go by, there are plenty of places to do it!

The largest park is Highbury Fields, a calm oasis of almost 30 acres"

With skateboarding as a recognised sport and with it being part of the 2012 olympics in London it's a puzzle as to why Islington haven't built a skatepark? They simply aren't providing for a large number of residents. What's even more shocking is the fact that Islington are one of the richest London boroughs and are one of two boroughs who haven't provided at least one skateboarding facility.

Islington needs a skatepark.
