Today, 100 years later the resident's are once fighting again to perserve one of the original settler's site in our town of Hampton.Flag

Name: Doris Nardone on May 13, 2002State: MACountry: USComments: Where the public at large congregate, the wildlife won't. Where the public at large congregate, so does trash. Where vehicles go, so goes toxic chemicals killing wildlife and natural resources. Preserving natural habitat means natural habitat. Best to look for alternatives that would adhere to and not be detrimental to our natural resources goals or to the neighborhoods that would be affected. Safety, security, privacy and preservation issues are involved. No parking lot, no busses, no fumes, no smog, no cement, no vinyl, no garbage. I think the people who voted for this were not fully aware of or presented with complete, well thought out data, and any negative aspects impacting the land, wildlife and people who own property nearby were not presented.Flag

Name: Joseph Daly on Apr 18, 2003State: NHCountry: USComments: I believe that the saltmarsh should be left to nature. The building of any kind of "education and observation" facility, no matter how "environmentally acceptable" is STILL an intrusion on a wild and pristine place that has taken years to return to it's natural state. PLEASE don't screw it up now! Thank you for this forum.Flag
