51 Ceri MorrisonA pub well worthy of saving!!!
52 Gordon DaviesThere is absolutley no need to demolish this establishment as it sits on the periphery of the scheme and can be quite easily be fitted into the developement to become an attractive feature.

60 AnonymousIt would be a crime to demolish such a beautiful building.
61 Michael MorganLanelli is gradually losing all history.Who remembers the horse trough in West End.The Island House would make a perfect entrance vista to the development. My family business started in 1880.Shame on Carms.Council/Councillors.We must all as Llanelli people, young and old, support all & any to regain OUR Llanelli.

68 Lorens JohnRhaid achub Ty'r Ynys. Does dim angen dymchwel yr adeilad hardd hwn hwn o gwbl am y datblygiad newydd. Rhaid cadw yr hyn sydd ar ol o hen gymeriad ac etifeddiaeth tref Llanelli. Ond os bydd Ty'r Ynys yn diflannu ni fydd unrhywbeth deniadol ar ol i'w gweld yn y rhan honno o'r dref.
69 AnonymousEveryday I walk through College Square to reach the town, and have done so for the past 25yrs. in the past few years it has been an attractive landmark, I feel so sad that those in control at Carmarthen. can think to have it demolished, for an ugly cheap looking breeze block, it means nothing to those in control as long as they get a fat brown envelopes. 82 JimGood luck with the campaign! Been to the Island a few times and it's a nice place with a bit of character. Why is carmarthen council bent on turning Llanelli into another colourless clone town? Groups around the county should unite and kick out this useless self serving council!

84 Anne MesserThere are too many old buildings being knocked down and not incorporated in any planning. We will lose our identity. Another interesting and historical buidling cannot become a pile of rubble.

93 AnonymousKEEP THE CHARACTER OF LLANELLI , IT IS SUCH A LOVELY PUBLIC HOUSE , THERE ARE TO MANY OLD BUILDINGS BEING DESTROYED.

95 H DaviesThe Island House is a fine building and a great local pub with a long history and heritage - it should not be demolished. A lot of heritage in our town centre is under threat of demolition at the moment, including places like The Island House, The Stepney Hotel and Buckleys Brewery. If you go to Carmarthen though it’s a different story – their heritage and older buildings are looked after and reused. Why should the policy for Llanelli be different?
96 Mrs Jacky BartlettMy father, Ken Pullham has been a regular at The Island House for years. This closure would be a sad loss for him and for Llanellis heritage
