Problem: 40 minute games are inadequate to determine the representative for Indiana to the Denker Tournament of High School Champions Proposal: Have a separate tournament over 2 days that utilizes the exact type of time controls as the Denker Tournament. The winner will be the Indiana State representative for the Denker. Points to consider: 1. Event should be invitational only (closed) based upon performance in the SCI Individual Championship High School Section. 2. Event should be limited to 8 players as round robin. 3. Event will be USCF-rated. 4. Event must be ISCA-sanctioned as the definitive qualifying event for the Denker, after 2012. 5. Event will be called the Indiana State Scholastic Invitational (ISSI) 6. Event must be after the SCI Individual Championships and before July. 7. Event will be held in Indianapolis, IN or within adjacent county to Marion county. 8. Event will be on a Saturday and Sunday. 9. In the event of ties, Tiebreak method will be: Direct Encounter, Number of games played with Black, Koya System, Sonneborn-Berger, Number of won games 10. Time control will be G/60 + 30 increment 11. High finishers in the 9th grade and under section may be allowed to compete as alternates as long as they are in 9th grade
