American Taxpayers Demand the Right to Know

On January 17, 2012 the American taxpayers began submitting their electronically filed 2011 tax returns. Unbeknownst to the taxpayer that the Internal Revenue Services was implementing a new fraud alert system, that had not been fully tested and found without errors. Due to the negligence of the Internal Revenue Service thousands of returns are now being held without clarification as to the reason why. Several American Citizens calling several times a day only to be left with several different answers and unanswered questions. The actions of the Internal Revenue Services have left many families facing hardship and distrust in this section of the American Government. Families depending on their refunds for utilities, shelter or to resume building their savings after a difficult economy, are facing disconnect notices, evictions and no living the dream that all Americans are working towards.
Media coverage has been minimal to say the least on this matter. Neither the President nor any Government Official has reached out to help the American people by offering a solution or acknowledgment to this matter. With the 2012 Election for Presidency approaching assuring the American Taxpayers should be top on ALL candidate’s list of things to do. Now is the time for the American Taxpayer to be heard, and demand a solution as to why we are getting punished over something that is out of our control. Let's get heard and sign this petition today!
We, the undersigned, are American Taxpaying citizens who urge our leaders to act now to:
- Immediate release of our 2011 tax refunds or immediate explanation as to why held.
- Immediate investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s Fraud Alert System.
- Immediate review of the training procedures of all Internal Revenue Service’s Representatives.
- That in future tax filing years that all NEW systems and well as OLD be tested and proven to be free from errors prior to opening up the years tax season.
