I know many people who struggle filing their taxes but what happens when you file under a tax representative and you end up owing the IRS. Most Americans are not tax prepares so they decide to rely on places such as liberty tax yet if they get audited it is not their fault and the customer is left with the bill. It is to my confusion as to why the IRS would approve money to the customer in the first place then later telling that customer that it was denied due to audit. Instead of working with the customer they just wait and demand the money back after how long. I disagree that one person's mistake should not be another persons problem. Liberty tax decided to do some shady things with a few people's tax returns and I ended up owing the IRS money. I relied on professionals and it was not like I was the only one every one who filed their taxes in 2015 got audited at this location:

I doubt liberty tax would deny them getting an audit in 2015 but to be honest, what happened to those people that claimed to be professionals and placed fraud on people's account? (Liberty tax even had their windows busted in because of what they did to people). They gave false information and they played around with me after I THOUGHT I filed with them so that I had to wait forever for direct answers and information. They were like oh just call back or never picked up their phones and some preparers were hired that had no experience. Later I found out that they did not even file my taxes and I was waiting for nothing to come in which the IRS decided to charge me with late fees as well and others got audited. I been in this town and I know A LOT of people that live here that suffered from them. I believe if a tax preparer does a mistake on multiple people's tax return, the customers should not have to pay the IRS. It's been proven around that time that everyone has been audited and mistreated, so how is it the people's fault? I proposed this petition for one reason, people should not be accounted for other peoples mistake. I came to professionals as well as other people so why am I paying money back because non-professionals mistake? IRS receives all the documents after it was filled so why did they not properly evaluate documents before processing them? (especially since a person has to wait so long to receive the funds). Are the IRS with us or against us? Please sign and STOP being abused by the IRS and fake tax preparers.
