| 151 | Anonymous | Its very sad that this is the state of affairs, i have lost many family and friends because of cancer. |
| 152 | pauline price | because of your hospitals neglect in portlaoise my friend has had 2 mastectomies, probably has metastases and is only 34 years old.
Her first mammogram was offered to her last year, AFTER her first operation.
Girls like her don't grow on trees and she and her family do not deserve the months of agonizing over whether or not the HSE in their neglect have killed her. |

| 171 | Mary E Rooney | Come on Mary and wake up to the new century, give us the cancer care services we deserve, how would you like mother, sister, best friend to have to wait 4 months for initial diagnosis in terror if she found a lump in her breast. Just try to imagine the scenario in the household of one of your friends and the impact of this type of situation on their lives even if she were lucky enough to get all clear results when eventually. Then think how that family would feel if you friend actually does have cancer and ends up battling for her life aggainst time. Do you not feel you have a duty to irish families to provide a health service that is worthy of the PROGRESSIVE nation you have helped to build or are we expected to lie back and die quietly like your party! |

Smear tests are also free, part of check-up and result back within a few days. |
| 189 | Teresina Moran | I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago at the age of 36.I have 2 young children & the thought that I may not see them grow up terrifies me! Thankfully,I had a wonderful medical team to support me.I don't know what I would have done if I did not have quick access to a breast clinic. The HSE & Mary Harney should be ashamed of themselves! |
| 190 | noreen gentleman | Way to go girl!!Just read about it in paper today, It will definatly make Mary Harney and the HSE pay attention. You are so right we are being to polite, we need to yell it in their faces.
I had a really bad scare myself this summer and let me tell you its changed the way i think about everything.I must say my family doctor was woderfull, id never have coped if it was'nt for him, He is a great doctor,id still be waiting for an appointment at the hospital if he didnt get involved and raise hell. Good luck with the site and the petition, and thank you for taking a stand.if you need any more support or campaigning let me know. thanks again noreen. |
