   Comments: I really think that people outside of our high school (IRHS) should be able to attend the '07 semi, because I know for a fact that alot more people would be willing to go if they could bring someone (ie. a friend, a date, their boyfriend/girlfriend) and it would make semi ALOT more fun.

    Comments: Every person should be allowed to bring an outside date. One outside person limit per irhs high school student. it would provide for alot more profit, and money could be put towards charity. its not fair to those people who have boyfriends or girlfriends in a different school, to be stricken from the oppurtunity of having their formal with their date. It shouldn't be of influence the fact that other schools have had incidents, because there has never been incidents on formal night at IRHS previously. thanks

    Comments: Semi formal is an opportunity for students to have an experience that is not the typical school dance. This school event is being run out of of the school for the first time, and so as students, we realize that even better behaviour and more respect are required. For the grade 12 students graduating this year, this news about not being allowed to have guests is a very disappointing one. I am signing this petition because I am one of those disappointed students. I am asking that each student be able to bring only 1 guest to the event. This will also greatly aid in financial earnings for the school as more people will be attending. Allowing this rule to change would only make the experience a more enjoyable one for everybody attending. Please consider our wishes.

    Comments: I think the principals know more than anybody that our school is by far one of the most behaved in Halton and with that they should trust our judgement on who is accompying us to our Semi because lets think rationally here... its not only the teachers, we too don't want our Semi ruined by ill-behaved randoms and we know that hence why we wouldn't be inviting them. Trust us, we've never given you a reason not to.

    Comments: I agree. I have a guest i would be honoured to accompany me to semi and feel it is unfair for the mass majority to suffer when certain individuals are the ones to blame. I feel very strongly on this issue and hope it is taken into great consideration.

    Comments: I strongly agree that it is unfair that we have to be punished for the misbehaviour of people from other schools. it is not the staff's semi formal, it is the students. high school is suppose to be the best times of your lives and by the staff saying that we cant invite others from different schools is unfair. i have been looking forward to this day for a long time, please do not make this rule. Also, we are spending ALOT of money (even extra for renting out the hall), girls like to dress up and buy dresses, but whats the point in going or paying so much money when you really want to bring someone, but now cant. For the people who are in relationships, however go to different schools should be allowed to bring on another. Irhs has held several dances this year but we have NOT been able to bring people from other schools the WHOLE year, which is also a real dissapointment. Why can't we have this dance for us We work hard all year, this would be greatly appreciated if we were able to bring others along. Lastly, if there is a problem with pepole that go to another school, you should just remove them from the dance or party or what ever, don't punish the rest of the school for someone else's mistakes, it SUCKS not being allowed to bring others in. We are not in elementary school anymore!!!!!!!!!. thank you for your time!! :) please make the right choice!!
