Name: Muthusamy Selvaraj on Apr 13, 2003State:Country: INComments: 1) UN must be respected by its member countries with due regards to care for overall world peace. 2) US and UK decides unilateraly to go war and start counting on supporters and make a public statement that so many countries upport its decision obviously splits the whole world. 2) US should examine its role and legitamacy of all its actions particularly (a) in case Afganistan which was supported by US once to fight and win Russians during cold war, but not economically supported afterwards became breeding groung for terrorism. (b) Israel and Palestinian issue still burning for more than half a century for which US is directly responsible (c) Pakistan which is doing cross border terrorism over period of several decades and again a breeding ground for terrorism, which is even today supported by US with aids (d) making all out efforts to jusitify its actions in the name of destructions of WMD and bringing in a democracy where Iraq was ruled by military person but closing its eyes and blindly support the Military Government in Pakistan over a period of several decades except of for short period of time where it had legally elected decocratic Government etc. 3) UN is a must to restore not only the confidence of nations but also to protect international law and order. 4) US, UK and other supporting nations must recognise and respect UN for benefit world peace.Flag

Name: Geoffrey Cook on Apr 14, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: In this world, aggression must not be awarded! The rule of law has to be reasserted! One such signal would not be to recognize any Iraqi puppet regime put into place by any of the aggressor nations. The U.N. must reclaim its prerogative to create and maintain an interim government until the full reigns of power can be handed over to the Iraqi people. Also, the United Nations should be in charge of the reconstruction of Iraq. I, further, feel that your office should manage the mineral wealth of the Iraqi people for their own benefit until a fully functioning consensual government in Baghdad is operationg.Flag
