Comments: Like a petition would change anything. If Apple hasn't a 3G device ready yet, they won't be able to launch even if they would care about the petition. switching from 2G to 3G isn't just changing some spare-parts in the phone, it's a huge step in development...

Comments: I'd rather wait a few more months for the iPhone to debut in the UK in order for it to be 3G. After all, no-one who really wants an iPhone will settle for anything else, even if there's an extended wait for it. It would be better to get it right first time than spend a load of money only to see the iPhone we all really want released a few months later. That would REALLY annoy a lot of people.

Comments: I KNOW WHY THEY DIDNT DO THIS! IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE MASSIVE BATTERY IMPLECATIONS, THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO SWITICH 3G OFF/ON FOR BATTERY REASONS. SO IF YOU RATHER THE EXTRA BATTERY LIFE THEN YOU CAN HAVE IT!!!!!
