The petition

Thanks everyone who signed - WE HAVE WON!

http://www.apple.com/hotnews/o...

In an unprecedented move, on wednesday, September 5th, Apple computer lowered the price of the 8gb iPhone by 200 dollars.

There was no change to the hardware or the cost of the components. Its the same phone that all the early adopters purchased, only 200 dollars cheaper - two months after its release.

Apple should recompense those buyers who purchased the iPhone at its original 600 dollar price, either with a discount on new Apple hardware, or credits that could be used on the iTunes music store.

Apple has rewarded naysayers and punished early adopters who made their product successful by purchasing it at the inflated price. Most reasonable individuals understand that technology tends to decrease in price as it ages, but early adopters made the iPhone a success, and Apple has basically spit in their face with this price drop.

Let Apple know how you feel and that you will not buy another Apple product unless they create a program to remedy this inequity in their pricing of the iPhone.

By the way - this isnt a discussion board. Those of you that leave negative comments about those signing the petition, are ALSO signing the petition. If you dont agree with the petition, you shouldnt sign it - duh.
