| 1651 | Anonymous | I think it is fuking bullshit, i mean come on, with the economic increases this yr nobody can afford that, and some even struggle getting the basic stuff, yer it could b silly for them to the fone but what it offers u cn save so much then buying it all seperate when u can buy it all in one...
these dicks wth there big credit cards and there nice cars think that the world is the same as them but they need to come back to reality, doubt 10% of the country will even consider buying it now, Get ur heads outta the clouds and look into reality dickheads, do better planning and surveying b4 u come out with dumb prices lyk this, vodafone is getting shitty now, might change the telecom soon, jam it up vodafone |
| 1652 | Luke McIntyre | this is a f*#@ing rip off |
| 1653 | Anonymous | Me and 3 other members of my family were planning to buy an iPhone until we learned of your excessive contract.
$6000 for two years of an iPhone? NO. |
| 1654 | luke | Vodafone NZ, a few words from me and I asume most of NZ,
Get your fucking head out of you fucking ass, you monoply fuckwits. And steve get your ass on a plane and come over here and knock some sense twisted, heartless, profit orientated prik vodafone call a CEO |
| 1655 | Phil Oatley | Frickin' idiots. |
| 1656 | vodafonesucks | We should take Vodafone site down. They are fucking bastard and big ripper. I hate vodafone as much as I hate Telecom. Fuck you Vodafone... curse on you. |
| 1657 | vodafonesucks | We should take Vodafone site down. They are fucking bastard and big ripper. I hate vodafone as much as I hate Telecom. Fuck you Vodafone... curse on you. |
| 1658 | Olie | FUCK VODAFONE UP THEIR STUCK UP ASSEHOLES.
how could they possibly try to defend that $250 a month is a good deal considering how much it costs them to run the fukin servers(about 1 cent per person) they need to pull their heads in and stop ripping new zealand off or they are going to lose all their customers to telecom. and who the fuk do they think they are cahrging a dollar a minute for each customer service call made! they obviously are just greedy fukin pigs! |
| 1659 | Yemo Guo | honestly, it's good for a businessman but for a personal phone? Hell no, thanks Vodafone (!) |
| 1660 | James Schroeder | Vodafone's pricing of its entire line is extreme... Not just the iPhone. 3G data pricing is nonsense compared to the UK. Fucking the country over since they began... |
| 1661 | Rob | These prices are so ridiculous it makes you think if Vodafone and Telecom are in cahoots in regards to pricing. Why else would vodafone spurn the chance to completely steal the 3G market from Telecom, with a "must-have, can afford" pricing plan? This demonstrates to me the POSSIBILITY that back room talks have taken place and deals made to protect Telecom's 3G offerings later this year. The sad thing is though, there are people out there who will pay these prices no matter what, just to have it. Vodafone will show us, sadly, that they have created a new class of consumer fuck-wit. Not happy. |
| 1662 | Rob | Actually, thinking about it, I might just get mobile through Skype and pay their prices. Telecom and Vodafone, fuck them both. And their mums. |
| 1663 | James Cront | |
| 1664 | Anonymous | The price is ridiculous, over the 24 month term on 1GB you would pay $6000 insane! The vodafone spokes person said on herald site that the prices were similiar to their 3G data plans, I have 1GB on a data plan and I pay $60 a month no term hmmm $250 - 24 mnths or $60 no term, sure you get free minutes and texts as well but come on. I am going to wait until the hysteria is over and vodafone realise they can't sell at such over inflated prices.
Shame on you vodafone! |

| 1666 | Joshua Moss-O'Brien | These prices and data plans are not acceptable. |
| 1667 | Tomas Cokis | this is rubbish, apple is the best company in the world, but vodafone completely stuffed it for everybody |
| 1668 | Tony Baker | F**k me, Vodafone, if you're gonna seriously rip of your customers, do you have to make it so damn obvious? |
| 1669 | Nikhil Sengupta | |
| 1670 | Patrick Crisp | |
| 1671 | Mohammad Aslam | It's too expensive. I have to make a decision between buying gas or phone. |
| 1672 | Kiwi | Screw Vodafone! bloodsuckers idiot son of a shitface muderfuker! |
| 1673 | Anonymous | the reality is NZ users are being screwed. I'm in Italy now, where a standard call cost 10 cents per minute. The charges proposed by Vodaphone are what they are - a bid to maximize profit. Greed is a corporate state of affairs, and your choice is easy - use the mobile less! |

| 1675 | Anonymous | hahaha did you see the people queing to buy the iPhone. Idiots - ha ha I'm going to keep laughing at them when I see them in the using the overpriced Vodasham device |
| 1676 | Stephen | how can Voda justify these prices. this has got to stop. highest in the world. what a rip off! |
| 1677 | Anonymous | |
| 1678 | Anonymous | The rates are extremely expensive compared to similar packages in the USA. It's clear to me that the Vodaphone pricing reflects either extremely inefficient cost structures in NZ, or monopolistic pricing. Either way I expect prices will fall over time. Consequently I am deciding to delay purchasing an iPhone. |
| 1679 | Andrew Murphy | yes, this is profiteering. Data does not cost that much any more and it's only the duopoly thats keeping data prices high. |
| 1680 | mike donahue | It's practice like this that will keep New Zealand's economy from reaching it's true global potential. |
| 1681 | Clinton | I have a GEN 1 16gb and was looking forward to NZ getting it ... Vodafone is taking the P!@# and advantage of having no competition ... Main thing that is a rip is the DATA plans ... people don't realise yet but the IPHONE will chew up and spit out 1gb of data without trying bewtween emails, web browsing youtube and google maps ... in other words people will be going well over there data cap very very quickly !!!
Sincerely
Peeved Off |
| 1682 | Ben Hands | I guess Apple and Vodafone did a great job with their marketing. I was really eager to get the new iPhone till I saw the data plans. I can afford $1000 dollar phone (just) but the cost of the data plans means I wouldn't be able to take advantage of it. |
| 1683 | Will | Yeah Vodafone NZ are F*&KING RIPOFFS. They need some competition like the rest of the world |
| 1684 | Anonymous | |
| 1685 | sam | not getting one |
| 1686 | Mike Sutherland | Steve Jobs stated that at US$199 EVERYONE can now afford an iphone. At NZD$6000 either "EVERYONE" is some incredibly wealthy guy with a funny name or vodafone is ripping everyone off. |
| 1687 | Anonymous | In Ausi, with a $69 plan the Phone is $189, with 250mb, but heaps more mins.
the dearest plan is $169 and the Phone is free..!!!
We are being Ripped |
| 1688 | Francis (Auckland) | fuck you Vodafone |
| 1689 | Derek Gray | |
| 1690 | Lin Chen | |
| 1691 | Allan | It's crazy...... |
| 1692 | John | |
| 1693 | Shane Gallagher | |
| 1694 | George | this price is fuckking rediculous! |
| 1695 | Anonymous | Phone itself is $199 with two year planse for $250 a month. Would you please use calculator and see how they are ripping off. The price without plan is cheaper. |
| 1696 | Anonymous | FV |
| 1697 | Tony C | What a ripoff - get your act together Vodafone. |
| 1698 | David Glaister | The pricing plans are absolutely disgusting, if they don't reduce the pricing considerably I'll be shifting to telecom. |
| 1699 | Anonymous | Bullshit! |
| 1700 | Anonymous | Move to aussie and get one for AU$339 and a AU$29 a month deal on Vodafone Australia.
They have 3 telcos selling them. Isnt it interesting what competition can do.
