Daniel HaywardBought my iPhone 16GB on Friday morning at 8.20. I was upgrading from a BlackBerry O2 contract onto the £45 iPhone tariff. As of 9.40 on Tuesday 15th July my iPhone is still showing ‘no service’ and my BlackBerry tariff remains active. From my discussions with O2 it appears that they do not have any of my details and my paper work maybe at the bottom of a large pile of ‘pending activations.’ I know people who walked in O2 stores from Sunday onwards and been connected instantly.
GORDON RUSHstood outside store on friday waiting on iphone. got to till and system crashed. they reserved the iphone in store for me called everyday still not able to sell me phone!!! its now tuesday the 15th july!!!
Steve DaviesGreat product but why does a so called leader in the field of communications have zero ability in the art of communication. O2 have no time for their consumers and display a minimal protocol in effort when dealing with it's disgruntled customers. Should O2 have been given the product rights considering they do not have the ability to deliver the product to the market? I think not. Bring in the big guys The Competition Commission (CC) is one of the independent public bodies which help ensure healthy competition between companies in the UK for the benefit of companies, customers and the economy. We investigate and address issues of concern in three areas: • In mergers - when larger companies will gain more than 25% market share and where a merger appears likely to lead to a substantial lessening of competition in one or more markets in the UK. • In markets - when it appears that competition may be being prevented, distorted or restricted in a particular market. • In regulated sectors where aspects of the regulatory system may not be operating effectively or to address certain categories of dispute between regulators and regulated companies. A poor show from the very beginning that appears to be on-going!

Nathan StewartSigned up at my local 02 store at 8:15 on Friday. Called o2 several times over the week end, each time being given a new deadline. Tuesday at 12:00 pm and still no activation. I have been hung up on after waiting in the o2 Customer Service queue and all sorts. I finally got a call from the 'back office' team and I was advised that none of my details were in the system. I had to provide all of my personal details AGAIN. They had nothing, no iemi, no sim number and no direct debit details. I asked who had my personal details is o2 didn't. (Photo copy ofmy passport, pay slip and bank account details) I was advised by the rep that she was not aware where my details were and hoped they had not been misplaced. I have now been advised that the sim may be activated within the next 24 hours. That will in excess of 120 hours!!!!

Iain WaddinghamGot my phone on friday at 8am and its still not activated, in store and CS do not have a clue at what stage my activation is in and neither seem to know when anything might change, it always seems to be by tomorrow night! WHEN IS TOMORROW NIGHT COMMING!!??
Rodney MoffittI tried to upgrade to an iPhone 3G but due to O2's incompetence at handling the pre order sale and the ridiculously low sock levels on O2 stores I may not be able to do so for two weeks.
AnonymousFirst they messed up my online order, then I had to queue all day for the handset due to their systems breaking down, now I have had to wait four days for my handset to work, and it is still not working!!
MARGARET DANIELSI visited my local O2 store on Friday, 11th July and was told I had bee able to purchase an iPhone 3G however having completed the new contract paperwork I was told that I could not take the phone as all the systems were "down" and would have to return later to collect the phone. I was promised a telephone call at 5pm to inform me of the up to date situation, I received no phone call. I called 3 times on saturday to receive the same message - "still no systems" but told all would be fixed for Monday. I called on Monday morning - still not able to collect the phone. I visited the shop on Monday aftrenoon to be told there was still no access to the systems. I once again contacted Customer Services and was told that as soon as the system was up and running I would be able to collect my phone. It is now Tuesday afternoon and I am still without the new iPhone.
Mark ArmI'm DISGUSTED by the fact that O2 staff couldn't and wouldn't tell us how many handsets they had in stock. Making people queue for hours in the 'hope' that they may be PRIVILEDGED enough to give them a large chunk of money. As an O2 customer for years I'm sickened by O2's greed for new customers to the detriment of it's loyal customers. I hope the company is investigated and fined.
