| 11 | Dr. John Raymond Baker,DC | For too long, Qui Tam suits and other measures have protected federal whistleblowers. We need measures to protect civilian, laypersons, and professionals who put themselves on the line to blow the whistle to expose wrongdoing. "To see a wrong and not to expose it is to be a silent partner in its continuance."

| 28 | Eric N. Grosch MD | Besides, whistleblowers need to be able to collect damages from blatant governmental misconduct, including military misconduct, even if the short, two-year statute of limitations on the Federal Tort Claims Act has expired. |

| 32 | Lynn Shepler MD JD | Government health care reform should include protection of whistleblowers working in the health care setting. Too often, professionals are ostracized, lose their jobs, or suffer investigation themselves when raising issues about quality of care or medical wrongdoing. |

| 37 | Sue Vogan | A whistleblower is a person who alleges misconduct. The term whistleblower derives from the practice of English bobbies, who would blow their whistles when they noticed the commission of a crime. The whistle would alert both law enforcement officers and the general public of danger -- Wikipedia, 5/09. Federal employees are not the only whistleblowers and require protection. Whistleblowers can include mandated reporters of child abuse, medical malpractice, non-federal corruption, and other areas where fraud does not include federal funds. These whistleblowers should have just as much protection as the federal whistleblowers. |

| 45 | Dr. Janet Parker DVM | Medical Whistleblower as an advocacy group supports the protection of all Medical Whistleblowers especially those who are mandated reporters. When medical professionals come forward to report Medical Fraud, Patient Abuse and Neglect, and Human Rights Violations they should be able to expect a proper and prompt investigation of their allegations and to be protected from personal and professional retaliation for their mandated reporting. Dr. Jim Singer is a Mandated Reporter who was retaliated against when he courageously came forward to report child abuse. All mandated reporters of child abuse should have evaluations of their need for private and professional safety and security. Law Enforcement should have a stalking and in place protection assessment of the situation which should include the potential for cyberspace stalking, professional defamation, and personal boundary violations by the perpetrator toward the whistleblower. Those required by law to report should not be left to the hostility of the abuser and his/her supporters especially when allegations of criminal networking such as child prostitution, pornography, pedophile ring, human trafficking and criminal corruption of governmental agencies.
Medical Whistleblowers are the Defenders of Human Rights and must be protected by law enforcement. |
