I would like to ask for support to have strict laws put in place for the Internet and what is allowed to be placed online. Also, I would ask for support that would make who governs the internet be more transparent.

I want to preface this by saying as a parent myself I know we are responsible for our children and their actions and we have the responsibility to raise kids that have good morals and respect themselves and others. We have the responsibility to watch where our children go when they are online at least in our homes. This problem that is spiraling out of control is websites that are out of our control, but within the control of the business that host them and the laws that should govern what is acceptable and what is not. Our children cannot even be online researching without having in decent websites come up. Because the content that is written on these websites is what determines what we are able to view and when you have for example a search for " Moby Dick" you can guarantee more than the innocent story will come up in your search.

We need to come together for the good of our children, Tweens, adolescents and young adults. Something is happening to our children that they are turning to violent acts, murder, suicide and extreme acts to cope with emotion and thought. If we look at what made headlines 20 years ago we would see," Netscape"was the number one browser if not the only browser. Films were lighthearted and funny " Forrest Gump" . How did " Batman " become what he has been created to be, when it used to be an entertaining show, now it is remembered as the movie that was pinned for the shooting in the movie theatre. This speaks louder than I ever could of what is going wrong. Today the films are full of exaggeration with what will become of this world, death and destruction beyond comprehension . TV is full of reality shows that are not conducive to healthy relationships, but based upon beauty, sex, adultery, shows with no mention of education within the family and everything except what our kids should be learning, even prime time is about death, adultery with only a handful of a few good sitcoms that are family orientated.

I would ask, for support not only from parents, but the industry in which creates the Films we spend hard earned money for our families to watch whether at the movie theatre or on the cable channel , the Actors need to support and realize how profound some of these films are in the minds of our kids, the writers of these scripts both in sitcom and reality TV and the Artists that create music that plays endlessly in the brains of our kids. The networks that host some of these senseless shows to be more concerned for humanity and less about getting a shiny statue for their work and less about the billions that they receive.

The internet has become a haven for our children to become the victim of sexual predators that can prey on children because, they lie as to their identity and the need to be loved is so distorted that our children reach to these dark places for attention. Children are able to view websites that sell weapons and learn all about them and which kind is best used for what.There are websites setup with fictional characters that talk to our kids and tell them to kill one another.

Someone must be responsible for what is allowed on the internet. Is it our government that should be in control, how can we allow ISIS to post horrific images! that will forever be ingrained in the brains of those that come across their posting. Yet demand it be taken down, and in seconds it is! But, they allow websites full of extreme sexual content, weapons to purchase, bombs to be built and how to sites, such as committing the perfect crime, posting that strike at the very core of a persons being.

Our children need to be protected. Yes, this is a free country, but with freedom comes responsibility. Excuses are made daily instead of taking responsibility for the choices that are made.

Our kids are able to log on, find papers on the subject they are studying and print out a paper free or paid for! What are we allowing to happen to our children. And why would the government or the powers that be think this was acceptable.

We are allowing our kids to be sold to the " mighty dollar " companies who host these websites are making billions of dollars . They have no conscience.

We need to stop these school shooting, the violence they are able to see and the coping skills that are being used by our kids is brought to them by outside influences and the Internet is the greatest influence of our time.

I ask you to stand with me and help me to access the powers that be so we can save our kids from the evil that is taking control of their minds.
