Intercharge Fee Petition

Credit card issuers charge merchants an interchange fee of 2% of the transaction to use their credit card systems. At 2% per transaction, Americans pay some of the highest interchange fees in the world. Last year, American families paid an average of $427 in interchange fees--this figure has tripled since 2001 and is expected to continue rising despite improved technology, consistently lower interest rates and rapidly rising card volume. Please sign this petition to keep credit card companies from continuing to raise your credit card transaction fees.
