Name: Anonymous on Dec 9, 2009Comments: I am the owner of 1 G1 drive and 1 G2 drive. In Q1 2010 I am planning to purchase ~3 SSD drives for private use as well as ~10 for corporate use. My decision will as such not only depend on the experience with the drives, reviews results, but the customer support too. In q1 2010 the amount of TRIM supported SSD drives on the market will further increase. To find a great performing drive from another manufacturer will not be a problem. Mostly I wish that Intel supports every G1 drive owner, since these are the people who were testing and in fact doing advertisement for the company and technology itself. Those are the customers that every company should dream about. Those are the customers who definitely deserve a proper support.Flag

Name: Pstrang Rzekle on Dec 14, 2009Comments: How disappointing we have to get a petition put together and encourage Intel to support the early adopters of their G1 SSDs with TRIM. We paid premium dollars for a G1 drive under the assumption TRIM was coming. Even though G1 are supposedly more immune to wear level algorithm fragmentation than G2, we still want the feature to keep our drives at optimum performance. Intel, please correct this betrayal ASAP.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 23, 2009Comments: I do not understand why they wil not provide a fix or technical explanation of why they cannot provide a fix. I will buy OCZ or other in the future if Intel decides to exclude existing/early users from keeping the performance of their drive in tact. It's one thing to say we won't make it faster than it was. However, to say you paid a huge premium and your component will evenetually perform less than an incredibly cheaper component (spinning platter HD) AND we have a fix but won't release it for your model is just insane.Flag
